What is the DMW?

The Department of Migrant Workers (formerly POEA) oversees all overseas employment of Filipino workers. Every legitimate deployment must go through the DMW process.

Key Steps in the DMW Process

1. Medical Examination — Get cleared by a DMW-accredited clinic.
2. TESDA NC II Certificate — For domestic workers, TESDA certification is mandatory.
3. PEOS (Pre-Employment Orientation Seminar) — Attend the online or in-person seminar.
4. E-Registration — Register on the DMW online portal.
5. OWWA Membership — Pay your OWWA fee for welfare coverage abroad.
6. OEC (Overseas Employment Certificate) — Your exit clearance from the Philippine government.
